KIRI PALU AHANGAMA

A family holiday residence located in Ahangama, this was an architectural restoration and renovation project of two houses and a pool, with interior decor and landscaping necessary as the final touches for completion. We took on the interior scope of this entire project and certain parts of the landscaping. The client, a collector of antiques and art, had a great eye for design and took a hands-on approach when carrying out the project. Ayointerior and the client worked together selecting antique items, restoring selective pieces and getting reproductions done.

Throughout the two houses old and new teak furniture pieces are placed in welcoming and inviting layout patterns. Apart from the main living spaces there are verandas and patios with seating arrangements. Natural coloured sisal rugs with great big black borders, art from local artists and bedside lamps add warmth to all the bedrooms. Throw cushions and rugs tastefully add tones of red and blue throughout the living spaces. Glamour is brought in with the use of brass accessories and lamps.
