WILD COAST - RESPLENDENT CEYLON YALA

Blending seamlessly with the rugged Yala landscape, Wild Coast Yala is a property with a true African Safari vibe. The Spa building located within the property is designed and modelled after an African mud hut.

However, the interior of the mud hut was not thought out and designed for a spa. As a design solution, Ayointerior introduced in the lobby area a circular built- in seat to mimic an African style cow dung built-in seat. Above the seat dark rattan lamps were hung to create a low lit, mellow vibe. Tree trunks with a natural finish and cactus plants were introduced to complete the African vibe.

In the treatment rooms up-cycled brass pots were used as sinks. Mirrors and chairs with rustic timber finishes, logs as side tables and Sisal rugs add to the African tribal charm and create the perfect Spa environment within the mud hut design.
